The Out and About Transport Service provides services to those people who are disadvantaged by a range of mental health related problems or other disabilities and who live in areas where public and social transport provision is inadequate.
Our service reflects the unique needs and aspirations of the individual in accordance with our equal opportunities policy. We believe that people should always be treated as individuals with dignity, equality, rights and responsibilities. We aim to combat social exclusion and support personal recovery by improving access to key services and life-enhancing opportunities.
Our transport team work together to inform people and raise awareness of the public and social transport services available in Herefordshire. We aim to match demand to available resources. We advise transport providers about changing needs that might require alterations to services to better meet client needs.
We are supported by Advantage West Midlands, Herefordshire Primary Care Trust and Community First. Out and About also offers services through our Severn Wye social enterprise.
