The Recovery and Wellbeing Service encompasses a range of services provided by Herefordshire Mind. We have centres located in Hereford and Leominster. We run courses, workshops and activities (contact Val Comley for more information: val.comley@herefordshire-mind.org.uk) and operate an extensive Outreach Service (COGS) across the county (contact Tammy Preece for more information: tammy.preece@herefordshire-mind.org.uk).

Our commitment is to support and encourage recovery, to help you to develop, grow and move on. We offer practical and emotional support and work with you to build confidence, self-esteem and to engage in your own recovery. We will work with you at your own pace, respect your experience and in ways that enable you to feel safe. We will support you to achieve your own goals and live independently, do things for yourself as much as possible, be heard and to express your preferences, learn from your mistakes, maintain your dignity and take an active role within your community.

At our centres we offer a friendly and supportive place to meet others who may have similar experiences of mental health recovery; Safe Space. We also provide support and information such as healthy lifestyles, benefits, housing and mental health. Safe Space is open in Hereford Monday to Friday 1pm to 4pm and Saturdays 11am to 2pm; Leominster is open Mondays 12pm to 3pm and Thursdays 9.30am to 3.30pm.

We will agree with you a simple support plan that will focus on what you want to do with us and how we will support you in this. We encourage people to make use of the Recovery Star to help you to understand your recovery and the progress you are making. We also offer Wellness Recovery Action Planning (WRAP) coaching to better help you to self-manage your own recovery.

We are committed to ensuring fair access to our services. We value diversity, promote inclusion and provide equality of opportunities at all times. We welcome people from any background, and will actively seek out under-represented groups. We undertake not to discriminate against any person on the grounds of gender, age, religion, race, disability, nationality or sexuality.

Please see the attachment for what activities we have available up to March. If you are interested then please contact Val Comley in the first instance.
