Sleep In Support Workers

Intensive Supported Housing, Hereford

24 hours per week

Worked as 2 sleep-in shifts per week, according to a rota 

The successful applicants will work in collaboration with clients, the staff team and other professionals to ensure individual needs are met, maintained and enhanced at Intensive Supported Housing project. 2 posts are available.

The successful applicant will need to have the following:

  • Experience in dealing with individuals with challenging behaviour
  • Commitment to training, personal growth and professional development
  • The ability to use their initiative and work independently 
  • Good communication skills 
  • Flexibility and the ability to work shifts 
  • Full UK driving licence

These posts will require an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Certificate

Bank Support Workers

Community Support Team

8 per hour 
Shifts across 24 hours and 7 days

The Community Support Team provides community and recovery orientated support options for people with mental health conditions living in the community. We are looking for individuals who are responsive to client needs and who can provide flexible support to clients living in their own homes.

The successful applicants will need to have the following:

  • Awareness of mental health issues
  • At least 12 months of previous experience working in a mental health supportive or care environment
  • Good communication and organisation skills
  • An empathetic and non-judgemental approach
  • Willingness to learn and to undergo further training in line with service requirements
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle

Registered Mental Health Nurses

Hours available at The Shires: 

33 hours (part-time - 3 shifts per week) or Bank (as required)

Hours available at Miller Court: 

38.5 hours (full time - 3 shifts one week, 4 the next), part-time (terms as full-time, pro-rata salary - please specify a number of shifts per week when applying) or Bank (as required)

We are looking for Nurses who will enable a structured and caring environment for men and women with severe, enduring mental illness and mild learning disability on their journey of ‘recovery’.

The successful applicants will help to create an environment conducive to the care, support and management of individuals with enduring mental health needs. They will also be responsible for assessing risk, personal development planning and direct work with clients.

The successful applicants will be qualified RNMHs with the following:

  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
  • Experience of support planning and risk assessing

  • Commitment to effective teamwork and service development
