Training and Development

All staff undergo a comprehensive induction and training programme to enable them to develop and deploy their skills, knowledge and experience in the most effective way. The programme of induction, probation, supervision and appraisal ensures that people are effectively supervised and developed. Registered Home Manager

Miller Court, Hereford

Circa 38,000 per annum
38.5 hours per week

We are opening a new purpose built 14-bedroom mental health recovery facility in Hereford. We are looking for a Manager who will enable a structured and caring environment for men and women with severe, enduring mental illness and mild learning disability on their journey of ‘recovery’.

We have some exciting plans for future development and need an experienced Registered Home Manager to support our vision and us achieve our growth potential.

The postholder will effectively manage the nursing facility and support provided to Herefordshire Mind’s clients, enabling them to develop themselves and to lead their lives independently.  S/he will also ensure compliance with the regulatory framework, act as Registered Manager, ensure the home operates effectively and maintain full occupancy.


The criteria for the successful applicant is as follows:

  • A RNMH qualified nurse with NMC registration
  • Previous experience of working at a management level in a residential nursing setting
  • Able to lead and motivate others
  • Able to plan, co-ordinate and work under pressure, whilst remaining professional
  • Experience of budget management and able to participate in budget setting
  • Able to work shifts over a 24-hour, 7-day a week working pattern, including bank holidays and to carry out on-call as required.
  • Diploma in Health & Social Care Level 4, or equivalent (desirable)

Recovery Support Worker


Miller Court, Hereford 
16,060 rising to 16,562 per annum
38.5 hours, shifts across 24 hours and a 7 day rota

Terms and Conditions

We are looking for a Support Worker who will enable a structured and caring environment for men and women with severe, enduring mental illness and mild learning disability on their journey of ‘recovery’.

We need a committed individual, who can work both independently and in collaboration with the staff team and other professionals, to ensure that the highest standard of personalised care and support is provided to all clients.

The successful applicant will need to have the following:

  • Diploma Level 2 in Mental Health and Social Care, or equivalent
  • Awareness of mental health issues
  • Good communication skills
  • Self-motivation and the ability to use their own initiative
  • An empathetic, caring and non-judgemental approach
  • Discretion and the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Full driving licence (desirable)

Registered Mental Health Nurse

Hereford 

Salary up to 28,000, 1000 Golden Hello* plus benefits
Part-time and flexible hours considered

We are looking for a Nurse who will enable a structured and caring environment for men and women with severe, enduring mental illness and mild learning disability on their journey of ‘recovery’.

The successful applicant will provide support, guidance and advice to the staff team, and help to create an environment conducive to the care, support and management of individuals with enduring mental health needs. They will also be responsible for assessing risk, personal development planning and direct work with clients.

We can offer you a competitive salary, staff benefits package and good career development and training. There is an additional payment of 1,000* as a Golden Hello for joining us. *Terms and Conditions apply.

The successful applicant will be a qualified RNMH with the following:

  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
  • Experience of support planning and risk assessing
  • A professional approach and awareness of maintaining boundaries
  • Confidence in their communication skills
  • The ability to deal with sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy
  • Commitment to effective teamwork and service development
  • Able to work over 24 hours and 7 days a week according to the rota
