Training and Development

We believe that good people management is essential. All staff undergo a comprehensive induction and training programme to enable them to develop and deploy their skills, knowledge and experience in the most effective way. The programme of induction, probation, supervision and appraisal ensures that people are effectively supervised and developed. Senior Support Worker

9 per hour

24 hours per week
Terms of Employment

We are looking for a Senior Support Worker to work in collaboration with our clients, staff team and others to ensure that the highest standard of support is maintained for individuals across our Community Support Team, Intensive Supported Housing and Housing in Mind projects.

The successful applicant will need to have the following: 

  • Experience in a care or support role and dealing with individuals with challenging behaviour
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, including ability to monitor the service, keep accurate records and write reports
  • Diploma Level 3 in Health and Social Care or other related Mental Health qualification
  • Good IT and time management skills
  • Understanding, patient and tolerant nature towards individuals with specific needs and all other individuals
  • Ability to work flexibly and to a rota covering weekends, evenings and bank holidays.

Recovery Support Worker

Miller Court, Hereford

16,060, rising to 16,562 per annum
38.5 hours
Shifts across 24 hour and 7 day rota
Terms of Employment

We are looking for a Support Worker who will enable a structured and caring environment for men and women with severe, enduring mental illness and mild learning disability on their journey of ‘recovery’.

We need a committed individual, who can work both independently and in collaboration with the staff team and other professionals, to ensure that the highest standard of personalised care and support is provided to all clients.

The successful applicant will need to have the following:

  • Diploma Level 2 in Mental Health and Social Care, or equivalent
  • Awareness of mental health issues
  • Good communication skills
  • Self-motivation and the ability to use their own initiative
  • An empathetic, caring and non-judgemental approach
  • Discretion and the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Full driving licence (desirable)

Bank Support Workers

Community Support Team

7.50 per hour
Shifts across 7 days and according to a rota

The Community Support Team provides community and recovery oriented support options for people with mental health conditions residing in the community.

We are looking for Bank Support Workers to provide and maintain a high standard of flexible domiciliary care support to our clients living in their own homes.

The successful applicants will need to have the following:

  • Awareness of mental health issues
  • Great communication skills
  • Completed Care Certificate
  • Self-motivation and good organisational skills
  • The ability to use initiative and work independently
  • An empathetic, non-judgemental approach

Registered Mental Health Nurse

Hereford 

Salary up to 28,000, 1000 Golden Hello* plus benefits
Part-time and flexible hours considered

We are looking for a Nurse who will enable a structured and caring environment for men and women with severe, enduring mental illness and mild learning disability on their journey of ‘recovery’.

The successful applicant will provide support, guidance and advice to the staff team, and help to create an environment conducive to the care, support and management of individuals with enduring mental health needs. They will also be responsible for assessing risk, personal development planning and direct work with clients.

We can offer you a competitive salary, staff benefits package and good career development and training. There is an additional payment of 1,000* as a Golden Hello for joining us. *Terms and Conditions apply.

The successful applicant will be a qualified RNMH with the following:

  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
  • Experience of support planning and risk assessing
  • A professional approach and awareness of maintaining boundaries
  • Confidence in their communication skills
  • The ability to deal with sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy
  • Commitment to effective teamwork and service development
  • Able to work over 24 hours and 7 days a week according to the rota
