Herefordshire Mind have signed an agreement with NMiTE, Herefordshire’s university project, for a two-year lease on Miller Court in Ledbury Road, Hereford.  We originally opened the 14-bed purpose-built building in October 2016, designed to provide 24-hour support for people recovering from mental health illnesses, but closed the facility in March of this year.

Miller Court is now home to some of NMiTE’s Design Cohort, who are helping to co-create everything from the facilities to the learning experience at the university, and will be used for future student accommodation.

Mark Waller, Chair of Herefordshire Mind, added, “We are excited to be partnering with NMiTE at this formative stage and delighted that our investment in Miller Court will be put to such good use for the benefit of our community.”

Professor Elena Rodriguez-Falcon, NMiTE’s acting Chief Executive, said: “We are very pleased to have come to this agreement with Herefordshire Mind, which gives us the option to buy the premises after two years. We also hope this will be the start of an ongoing partnership with Herefordshire Mind for future pastoral support services.”
